By popular request, here’s the Mattdaddy review of select US Cities:
Nashville, TN - Tons of entertainment options, especially if you are an inbred redneck who likes to drink beer and fight.
Murfreesboro, TN – Tons of entertainment options, especially if you are an inbred redneck college student who likes to smoke weed, drink beer and fight.
Smyrna, TN – It’s a nice place to stop and pee when you’re a college student on your way from a bar in Murfreesboro to a bar in Nashville.
Knoxville, TN – This is Mecca. This is where UT plays their home football games, and thus is holier than any other city on select Saturdays in the fall. Otherwise, it’s just this town, you know?
Chattanooga, TN - This is a good city to raise kids around (not in). The discovery museum, the park with the fountains, the IMAX theatre, the aquarium and other like entertainment options really rock. I wouldn’t want to live in town though. I’m too snooty.
Signal Mountain, TN – If money is no option, this is the perfect place to live. You get the small town life style at the big town price tag, with Chattanooga at your feet.
Memphis, TN – Harrumph.
Columbus, IN – This is a great town with friendly people. They have a transit authority, even though the town only has 35k in it. The hospital is first rate, the parks are first rate (and plentiful), and the schools are top notch. The tax rate is insane, and Knoxville is too far away for a pleasant one day drive on Mecca days.
Anywhere, AL - It’s too far south to be worth a dang, and too far north to be Florida. Just skip it.
Jackson Hole, WY - What? Lurch is moving here? Why?
South Bend, IN - Pepto's lived there, and wants to leave badly. That means it is either awesome or incredibly awful.
